Friday Fun!

Our early mornings consist of cuddling, story time and sometimes we just need to get our energy out and rock out to oldies music.

Our playground seems to have attracted a lot of little biting bugs (mostly biting me) so we've been taking more morning walks to stay away from them.

Sometimes we get a little distracted heading back...

This afternoon we went outside to our playground as it was cooler out so we didn't get bit. I decided I wanted to find some worms so we dug away with our shovels into the dirt and found a couple of big ones to hold. Don't worry we all went inside afterwards to wash our hands.

We're going on a leaf hunt...

The best part about Fall weather is crisp cool mornings. I love taking my toddlers out for a morning walk. We talk about all the colors of leaves we find, watch squirrels run up trees, and listen to all the other sounds that nature offers us.

My toddlers LOVE "Going on a Bear Hunt" which was the original reason I purchased this book (same format). We had a lot of fun reading it during our "Fall" theme weeks at school. A good addition to my library.

Fall Snack Outside!

We are taking advantage of this nice fall weather so we decided we would have our afternoon snack outside. The toddler are great about using their manners when it comes to 2nds on crackers.

Warm Fall Day!

It's not everyday it's 85 degrees and almost October! We will take the warm days as it's always a fun to take a morning walk in the grass. The younger toddlers stayed behind as some are newly walkers and can't quite make the long trip. We climbed on rocks and we worked on doing gross motor skills along the way like jumping, running and stomping our feet.

Just working on our fine motor skills...

Everytime I sit down someone always seems to run off with my pen, so I thought a fun little activity would be they could making markings on their papers. As they were writing I was telling them the letters in their names, literacy and handwriting in toddler terms.

We love getting messy with finger paints!

Again, it's been a week since I lasted posted and again I apologize i've been crazy babysitting and still looking for more jobs in September. If you need a night off for evening dinner or whatnot. I charge $12 an hour, I bring all sorts of fun activities for all ages so please ask me sometime. Thanks!

As intended when finger painting with toddlers you know it's going to get messy, but they are learning and exploring the process and that's just so much fun to watch! But then when you start preparing for cleanup there's always a few that have to take on body painting.

And then when they finally realize that the fun has ended it's kinda of sad to to hear them cry when we have to get cleaned up. Which means that we have to give them a quick sponge bath in the sink, getting dried off and falling asleep on the changing table.

Hot Day=Water Day!

On Wednesday since it was so hot and sticky outside by mid afternoon I decided to use up some extra swim diapers and we headed outside for water play. We had fun with our toy food in the swimming pools as you can see we really like pizza and chicken legs. We also had a lot of fun playing with the hose and taking turns getting a drink of water.

This book is one of our favorites that they all will sit through the entire thing. I never would have guessed when I bought it. Were Going on Bear Hunt, this is a book that they all fight over.
