Our busy active toddlers!

We have been working on our animal sounds lately, this is just a preview of some of our favorite sounds to make! 

I hope this doesn't tempt any of them at home with the toilet paper unraveling. But they enjoyed unrolling and throwing the streamers all over the classroom.

Our yummy treat Chance's mom made us to celebrate our Valentine's day party!!!

I would have to say by this picture that we had a pretty fun day, because Miss Beth and I cleaned our room for at least 45 minutes prior to the toddlers playing with other toys.

Love is in the air!!!

We have been really encouraging nice touches this month. Giving hugs and kisses to our friends, sharing and caring for one another as best as they can as toddlers. I also captured a few sweet moments!

Today we used our fine motor skills to make Valentine cards for our families using stickers. We worked on peeling it from the paper with help from our teachers, grasping the sticky stickers and placing them onto our papers, and patting them down to make sure they stuck. Of course we had to hang them on our walls. This week we have overloaded on artwork, be sure to check them out on our walls! 

I brought out our "Red" Valentine Sensory tub today and let them explore it barefoot. I had red tinsel, our torn paper we had shredded, ice cube trays, mini hearts, red cups and spoons and spatulas. They very much enjoyed it and we only had one crier about the tinsel being stuck to their feet. 

These two worked really hard collecting all their glittered hearts!

So we love toddler giggles, here's a naptime giggle there's sure to make you smile!

Toddlers prefer a dusting of snow than deep snow!

On Friday I was excited that is was going to be 45 degrees which meant Miss Abbie and I could get them all bundled up to play in the snow. I wasn't however expecting them to literally not being able to go anywhere. We made a trail with our shovel but they still weren't quite sure of it. We were probably only out there 15 minutes because we had a few meltdowns starting that we decided to go back inside.

When we came back inside we started in on our fine motor activity of ripping paper. Oh how I forgot how much they enjoyed this activity. They are pretty good at tearing that paper.

Having fun playing!

Just a few of our favorite things to do, build with blocks and have dance parties! 

I love how my toddlers love doing art! Whenever I say, "Who wants to do art?" they come running over. Today it was double duty hand and footprint painting. Miss Abbie was a pro at it and our little cupids turned out so cute! 

The toddlers have noticed dress up costumes in the gym. Of course we had to take a picture!

Frozen Yogurt Berries

This is such an easy snack to make and I assure you once you make it it will be gone in a matter of minutes. I used honey greek yogurt and a mixture of raspberries and blackberries but you can use any favorite fruit of yours. Use a tooth pick to dip the berries in the yogurt, and another tooth pick to help you slide the berries onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Freeze the berries until the yogurt hardens, then enjoy!

This month we are learning about the color Red and since it's too cold to go outside we brought the snow inside today. We painted it with red water colors. As you can see they very much enjoyed it. Red paint was everywhere!!!

Our favorite thing in our classroom right now is our laundry baskets that hold our stuffed animals. I might have started it when I gave them rides in the classroom last week.
