microwave popcorn!

Glass bowl + ceramic plate + popcorn kernels = perfectly popped popcorn in microwave. No bag. No butter or oil. Nothing to throw away afterward. And no un-popped kernels. Put 1/4 cup dry popcorn kernels in microwave-safe glass bowl (pyrex is a great choice). Place microwave-safe plate on top of bowl. Plate should be wide enough to go beyond rim of bowl. Microwave 2 min 45 sec.

Washable Finger Painting!!!

I love finger painting weather it's with food, Lotion or just plain paints!!! They did pretty good as a group doing it, we only had one that decided to paint her body as you can tell where she is! And one that tried to eat it! All and all it was good!

Sticky Finger Painting

I did this art messy play with the infants, but I thought I'd be brave and do it with the toddlers. It actually went a lot better than I had imagined it would and they loved it! Now, I won't be so scared doing ketchup and mustard finger painting next month!

Frozen Yogurt Dots

I LOVE yogurt! So I was excited to try it, but I did end up eating all of them I was going to share it tomorrow with the kiddo's...

Here's what I did: I used Greek yogurt, mine was the kind with the fruit on the bottom.  Spoon the yogurt in to a baggie or piping bag. Once the baggie is filled, seal it and then snip a small hole in one corner. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and begin piping little dots.  This is the most time consuming part, but totally worth it.  the fruit pieces, but they tasted GREAT!

July Heat!!!

This week has been horribly hot, so hot we cannot take the children outside, or if we do we lather them up in so much sunscreen and send them out for 15 minutes then we hydrate them with cold water bottles afterwards. So I brought some fun activities inside. Which really does work better outside instead of it inside.  Especially with their great pouring skills lately, but at least I got my foam tiles cleaned!

We also celebrated two of our 2 year old Birthdays, Happy Birthday to Claire and Dani!!! Although Claire was a little sad on her birthday because she had to pose with a birthday hat!
