November Newsletter

 Little Llamas

November, 2015

Dear Families,

It is hard to believe that November is already upon us! Colder weather is definitely on the way! With that being said, please make sure that you have labeled all of your child’s outdoor clothing, including coats, mittens, hats and boots. If you have not already bought your child’s winter wear. I highly recommend snowsuits! We will try to get outside for at least 15 to 20 minutes a day to burn up some of our excess energy!

I am asking for some donations needed this month for November. Please start collecting toilet tubes; we will be using this for an art project this month. I could really use some dollar tree table cloths for some fun finger paintings that we will do also!

Books remain among our favorite activities! We will be reading more action books such as “Hands are not for hitting”, “Little Dinos Don't bite” and “Little Lion Learns to Share”, we will be reading these books throughout the week! Many toddlers go through phases of hitting or biting. It is normal development stage as children figure out their own identities and jockey for territory! Please know that we work on this constantly. If you have a specific question or suggestions, please feel free to talk to us!

We have our wish list for the book fair posted in our classroom; please buy us some books for our classroom! Our themes this month include Manners, Trains, Turkeys, and Teddy Bears! We will get to taste pumpkin pie this month, make handprint turkeys, play with the motorized train set and have a teddy bear picnic in our classroom!

Please make sure you look at the Thanksgiving sign-up sheet on the door of our classroom to mark when your child will be at the center. This is necessary to make arrangements for adequate staffing over the holidays. We will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on November 26th and 27th. There will also be a sign-up sheet for those who wish to eat with their child during our Thanksgiving meal. More details will be posted later this month!

Have a great Thanksgiving, and if you are traveling, I wish you a safe trip!
