Splash Day and Birthday Fun!!!

Whenever it is anyone's birthday during bible time Miss Nancy and the whole center sing happy birthday to them. I reminded Nancy that is was Jack's birthday we sat through the whole ten minutes of bible today. They were  fidgeting  throughout it but it was a good ending. Then Lila went up to give Jack a birthday hug at the end!

I made a slideshow of our splash day outside because we invited the two year old's to come and play with us. Of course I took way too many pictures hence why I made a slideshow. Enjoy!

Getting ready for another birthday!!!

Guess who's turning 2 tomorrow?! That's right baby Jack, well not so much a baby anymore and I have stopped saying baby Jack for a few months now because he has turned into a toddler, or should I say a 2 year old little boy now!!!

We will celebrate with a water splash day tomorrow! I will post pictures tomorrow after our party!!!

Mason was super excited about my animals stickers I picked up at the Dollar Tree today!!!!

Stickers are a huge hit lately, and it's fun to do with the little ones too watching them explore the sticky side and figuring out how to place it on their papers.

Vinnie on the other hand really surprised me during this process, I look over and he is taking all the stickers off by himself and placing them on his paper. Rolen was working really hard getting the paper off the foam animal stickers. Way to go big boys!!!

I love getting group pictures, it just describes everyone's personality! And if you're at all wondering why Vinnie has a lollipop in his mouth, he received his summer haircut today!

So today, we have been all about rocks! We climbed on them, we went for a walk to go and collect them for a art project. Tomorrow during our water day, more than likely we will find some more and pretend washing them like last time!

Before our rock climbing, we thought it would be fun to climb aboard the rocking cars and take a few pictures!

I would just like to say, we are getting better at following directions, when I say stay on the sidewalk we do a pretty good job at listening, we might venture off into the grass just a little bit!

Art and Sensory!

So this a good clean activity that only requires a paint brush and a cup of water can add minutes of entertainment for toddlers. Yesterday we painted on paper and today we painted outside. Both a lot of fun!

Our most exciting moment today was when we found a bug crawling on the carpet from when we came inside. I love their little screams about the icky bug!

We spent a lot of time outside this week, since it was so nice out. Although, we did have to come in on several of the afternoons and get a quick diaper change, refresh our thirst with water and have a little cereal snack.

Trying out the new water toys!!!

Well I was getting a little worried this morning when we took them outside to play that it might get to hot in the afternoon to go out. I was wrong it was much nicer in the afternoon and we were in the shade too. Miss Joyce and I lathered them all up in sunscreen and put their clean art shirts on them just in case. I have to say they look really cute just wearing those!

Lets not forget water is fun, but mud well that's even better! A few of them spent more time digging up the mud, squishing it between their fingers, painting themselves, and splashing in it. I loved watching them explore with it!

Spaghetti with Lemon and Parmesan

Ingredients:
1 cup cream
3 cups finely grated Parmesan/Pecorino cheese
juice and rind of one lemon
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
salt and fresh black pepper to taste
1lb spaghetti, cooked and 1 cup of cooking water reserved

Combine all the sauce ingredients and mix well.

Toss with the cooked spaghetti and add some of the reserved cooking water to loosen it up a bit if necessary.

I just made this tonight, as I've been running around doing errands all day. I've already spent $100 on my sister's Bachelorette stuff and I'm not even done. I'm getting a little nervous too, because I put down a deposit of $250 for Pole Dancing and so far out of the 15 people I invited only 4 have RSVP back to me. So prayers I can get a refund or we might have to switch things up a bit.

On the good note, I finished my sister's wedding toast I'll be giving, might post it later going to have to edit it up a bit. I also bought $20 worth of stuff for the water tables to use for our toddlers this June. Hopefully we might be able to use them this week if it gets nice out at all. I'm excited to say we are getting two new toddlers moving up from the Infant Room this week!

I feel as though May is literally flying by,  and I have so much stuff to get done. I created a new lesson plan for our toddler room, it will be posted on our bulletin board and out in the gym outside our classroom. I hope you all enjoy it, I put a lot of planning into the upcoming themes for the upcoming months.
