Clean Fun!

We are in the process of taking our 4th of July pictures so bare with me. I had to run to the store tonight and get more ink and photo paper. If your child is not here this week don't worry I will take their picture and print them out.

Our new activity we love doing is finger painting with shaving cream. I just tell them to paint my table and then that takes matters into their own hands in painting their bodies too! When it's time to clean up we say "hands in the air" and we walk outside to get the hose and we wash off. I think that they like that part the most.

Birthday Fun!

We celebrated Riley's birthday on Friday she turned 2! Singing happy birthday at Bible was a special time to stand on a chair and be shy, netherless she loved it!

After bible time we were pumped up for presents. I'm very surprised how well my toddlers are about opening up gifts by themselves and really ripping the paper off. I do tend to spoil my toddlers on their birthdays!

Were getting really good at singing happy birthday we can all pretty much sing part of the song, and we clap a lot during the time as well. We tried singing happy birthday to Riley but she was more interested in playing with her new toys!

Thanks for bring us yummy cookies to enjoy for Riley's birthday they were very delicous!

To burn off our sugar high we did water play afterwards. I love my bright balls I purchased for fun water play, I will always take donation of toys for my classroom!

Snow Cone Fun!

The kona snow cone truck came today, it costs $2. I kinda had forgotten about it coming so next time I will make sure I put a sign on our door. Some of the toddlers got popsicles to enjoy if they didn't have money. The older toddlers thought they were pretty big kids choosing what colors they wanted. This is helpful since we are working on our colors.

Such pretty sunsets on my way home from working...

You ROCK Dad!

Friday morning we took a walk to find big rocks so that we could do an last minute art activity. We had collected more than we needed but who doesn't like rocks?!

In the afternoon we had a lot of fun finger painting with shaving cream, and guess what no one tried eating it so that means we will get to do this activity again!

When it comes to toddlers finger painting you know you have about a minute to completely strip them down to their diapers because they tend to paint their whole bodies and will start touching us teachers with their hands. I decided the best option would be to take them outside and hose them down. This is why this activity is only really good to do in the summer!

Just like Daddy!

I hope all your Daddy's out there appreciate your cards, I know you will because I had fun making them but let me tell you it was quite the process. My program wasn't working on my computer so I had to make about three trips to my parents to sign in on a program there, get a flash drive and try and print something off so yes a total of three trips on my Thursday night to my parents thankfully they live about five minutes away. However I did manage to get in bed by midnight, that was my goal!

Sunny hot day!

Wednesdays and Fridays we will attempt going outside and playing with the water. We will also be doing fun things such as blowing bubbles, water balloons and sprinkler fun!

I'm going to purchase some new water balloons as the dollar tree ones were kind of a bust, I had the toddlers transfer their water balloons to the swimming pools and as they dropped it and it popped they were quite confused on where they went. I should have gotten a video so perhaps next time.

Our two year old's get a chance to play next door to our playground. We work on climbing, going down bigger slides and swinging. Swinging is by far our favorite!

When we get really sweaty and hot we cool off with icey pops in the grass!

We have been great about trying new foods at lunch time, our new favorite vegetable is corn on the cob and they did a great job eating every piece of corn off their cobs!

Owyn demonstrates his after naptime routine, we do a lot of stretches and movement exercises before and after nap time. Today he just had too much energy!
