Our Christmas Program

Well overall the baby bears did very well during their Christmas program, and I am very pleased no one cried and they all sat very still during their performance. I was a little worried a couple hours before we went on. We had a lot of criers about their outfits and some mad toddlers.

Thankfully all I have to do is put on some music and we can rock out toddler style!

We had a few lovebugs during picture time...

Of course we had to take some group photos!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

We didn't get to explore this today, but we will tomorrow. Some of them got into some mischief while we were putting on our snow pants in the hallway. It was everywhere!!!

This afternoon we practiced our Christmas program. The night of the program here are a few reminders: Please bring your child's best dressed outfit in a back pack so we can change them that evening. We will also be in the nursery part of the church before and afterwards, if you do not know where this is please ask we will gladly show you. We practiced walking up and down the isles. Theo was great at this!

A favor, please take pictures if you have a camera that evening. I've never actually seen what we all look like during Christmas programs like this. Thanks!

Our part is just a Christmas lullaby song, we will try and fold our hands like we are praying. Our main goal will be no one crying that night. It's all about the cuteness anyway! Lola had fun dancing and singing with the 2's and the others sat quietly on the pews.

How easy is this, I actually have a cake pop machine I got for a gift in the past. I just might make these for my toddlers this winter!

painting with a paint brush...

It seems like everytime I plan to paint I only have four kids by myself. Normally it wouldn't matter but this bunch likes to paint everywhere and the cleanup process takes a bit longer. I am however glad that they like exploring the paint and don't fuss when they get dirty. They might need baths tonight we all ended up having some pink hair in the end from all the red paint.

I think the younger ones are starting to understand the process of dipping their paint brushes into the paint and dabbing their papers with it. I might have gotten a bit too much paint in the cups to start with.

Happy Birthday to Lola!!!

We celebrated Lola's 2nd birthday today! Although they may not remember their birthdays I still like to make it a fun day for all my toddlers on their special day! We opened presents first, I think she liked her book!!!

We all made handprint birthday cakes, that's all Lola talked about today was birthday cake!

We all put on party hats and sang happy birthday to Lola. As you can see in the video some of the toddlers weren't' quite sure about their hats.

It would't be a party with out some noise makers, quite a few of the toddlers were great about making sounds with them!

We had to say good-bye to Lola for a little bit while she visited the 2's this afternoon. We had fun sticking red and green shapes to our windows again. They love this activity, I was showing them how to make Christmas tree's.

Learning Christmas Colors...

(note: I used green paint instead of red paint today..yeah it was that kind of day!)

Being gone for 5 days and the long holiday weekend the baby bears were super clingy, I barely could position myself without them all fighting over who would get to sit on my lap. We had lots of cuddling this morning!

This morning we all started with learning to dip our paint brushes into the paint. Each toddler got their own individual cup with paint. They did pretty good for the first five minutes then towards the end their hands were completely covered in green paint. It's all about exploring sensory, so I decided we should get some cute handprints out of it as well!

I got these cute cutouts at the Dollar Tree, it's amazing what you can find. This weekend I will be back to check out their Christmas things. I'm excited to make their sensory box I know they will have fun exploring it.

This afternoon we explored sticky contact paper with fuzzy pom-poms. I showed them how to pull the fuzz on the pom-poms and stick in to their papers. They were more interested in trying to eat the fuzz or playing with my tape roll. Lets just say for the eaters of fuzz, they did not like that and probably won't do that the next time around. I told them it was yucky, but they thought they could prove me wrong.
