Some changes in the toddler room...

We made a new layout for our classroom. I try and rearrange the room every couple of months. We got a new table to sit at during kitchen play or for reading books.

I updated their daily sheets!

If you haven't experienced these markers yet with your toddlers, I suggest you go to the store and buy them. They are great for fine motor grasping onto the markers and making marks on their papers. These markers also come off of clothing and fingers. I know because Talissa decided to color all over herself.

What better way to introduce shapes to the toddlers that's right, you paint and stamp with them!

Window Art Fun!

They did really well with not putting the foam shapes in their mouths, the paint brushes however they did! At least it was just water.

Miss Molly found a little frog outside and of course she had to show us. Some of them held the frog, others made the sound of the frog and were interested in seeing it.

(Just F.Y.I. I babysit on the side. My rent has been raised and without a roomie I am left paying $650 by myself. So if you need a babysitter I would love to watch your child! As I adore my kids and love doing engaging activities with them!)

Hanging with the girls today!

Today was very quiet, I forgot how little girls are together. We played kitchen, scribbled with markers and just played!

Pop bottles are great tool for working on their fine motor with pom-poms. We can always take donations of bottles. I bought little cups, and next week we will also get to use tubes taped to the wall so we can drop our pom-poms down them. I'm so glad this activity is so engaging for them!

When we paint with our feet or our hands we usually end up with extra paint. I had so much red paint left that I couldn't just throw it out, so I made these cute cars with their feet. Turned out way cuter than I thought they would!

We had to get out and splash around in the water before it got to hot outside. They weren't much into the water though, more into sitting on the towels or being wrapped up in them.

Rainy Day Fun!!!

We have some beginner's who are
interested in using the potty!

Now that the older tots have moved to the 2's, the little ones are able to climb on the soft climbers without getting tipped over. They are a little hesitant about climbing on them but soon they get the hang of it!

This was not staged! These two love their Llama Mama books, lucky for them they have a special gift next week!

What better way to have calming toddlers, that's right a lotion body massage! They enjoyed rubbing the lotion on their feet, a lot of squirming from tickles!

I was pleasantly surprised they didn't eat the pom-poms, of course I was right there watching them. They were intrigued placing the pom-poms into the bottles and figuring out how to get them back out. Hiding them under little cups and being surprised that they found them. We will be doing this activity more and more next month.

We love water color painting!

We were going to body paint with ketchup and mustard outside today, but it decided to be a rainy day so we had just more fun painting with water colors instead! Check out the little face painters!

Crayons are a big hit right now, rather  we scribble with them or we line them
up!!!
